– 1 cup of oil
– 1 cup of milk
– 1 cup of wheat semolina
– 1 cup of flour
– 1 baking powder
– 100g of chopped walnuts
– 100g of ground walnuts
Dressing:
– 3 cups of water
– 2 cups of sugar
– 1 lemon
– 1 vanilla sugar
Procedure:
Add eggs, sugar, a pinch of salt and vanilla flavoring to the bowl. Beat with a mixer until foamy.
Add oil and milk. We stir. Add semolina, flour and baking powder. Mix slowly from bottom to top.
Chop half of the walnuts and grind the other half. Add to the dough and mix gently.
Line a 25 cm diameter mold with baking paper. We pour the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 45 minutes.
Leave the cake to cool.
During this time, prepare the topping for the baklava.
Pour water into the pan and add sugar and vanilla sugar.
Cut 1 lemon into thin slices and add to the pan.
When it boils, cook for another 15 minutes at a medium temperature.
Cut the cooled cake and pour hot dressing over it. Garnish with ground walnuts.
Good appetite!!!
