Method of preparation:
1) Beat eggs with a pinch of salt, vanilla and sugar until foamy. When the sugar melts, add the oil, yogurt, orange juice and orange peel. Mix until the mass is combined and uniform.
Mix flour, semolina and baking powder and sift through a sieve into the dough. We mix until all the lumps disappear and the dough becomes uniform.
2) Place the dough in a 25 cm diameter mold lined with baking paper.
3) Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 40 minutes until the dough is nicely browned.
4) While the cake is cooling, prepare the topping.
Mix orange juice, sugar and vanilla sugar. Cook for 10 – 15 minutes after it boils, stirring occasionally and removing the foam
5) Cut the cooled cake and pour hot dressing over it. If necessary, prick the cake with a toothpick so that the topping is better absorbed.
We serve the cake chilled and garnished with chopped pistachios
Good appetite ‼️
