Apple Butter Cake

Necessary food items:
– 150g of butter
– 150g of sugar
– 1 vanilla sugar
– 4 eggs
– Grated peel of 1 lemon
– Juice of 1 lemon
– 100g of raisins
– 1 spoon of rum
– 200g of flour
– 1 baking powder
– 3 smaller apples
– A handful of walnuts
– Some almond leaves
– Powdered sugar for decoration

Procedure:
1) Beat the butter with a mixer until it becomes foamy. Then add sugar and vanilla sugar and beat until the sugar dissolves.
2) Separate the yolks from the whites. Leave the egg whites aside, and add the egg yolks one by one to the butter while continuously beating with a mixer.
3) Add lemon zest and lemon juice, and then raisins soaked in rum.
Finally, sift the flour and baking powder into the dough.
Mix and set aside
4) Add a pinch of salt to the egg whites and beat with a mixer until you get firm snow. Gradually add beaten egg whites to the dough. Stir gently to keep the mixture airy.
Line a 25cm diameter mold with baking paper. We pour the dough into the mold and level it.
5) Peel 3 small apples, cut them in half and remove the seeds. Cut each polivina with a knife in several places.
Arrange the apples on the surface of the dough. Arrange walnut kernels and almond leaves between the apples
6) Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 45 minutes.
Decorate the baked cake
