Category: Bread and Dough

Necessary food items:
– 180ml of milk
– 1 spoon of sugar
– 7g of dry yeast
– 180g of sour cream
– 70ml of oil
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 2 eggs
– 600 – 650g of flour

Ingredients for the filling:
– 500g of feta cheese
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 3 spoons of milk

For coating and sprinkling:
– 1 egg yolk
– 1 spoon of milk
– sesame and flax seeds

Knead the dough from the mentioned ingredients and leave it for about 1 hour in a warm place to rise.
When the dough has risen, transfer it to the kneading surface and shape it a little. Let’s leave it covered for another 15 minutes.
During this time, prepare the filling. Mash the cheese with a fork, add salt to taste and a little milk to the desired consistency.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a circle about 1 cm thick. Mark the middle of the dough with a saucer, and then cut it into 8 equal parts. Cut each triangle in the middle.

Arrange the cheese filling in a circle around the perimeter of the dough.
Now we pass each triangle twice through the slot and transfer it over the cheese filling.
Now we raise the edge of the dough around the whole cake.
Spread the cake with egg yolk and sprinkle the triangles with flax and sesame alternately.
Transfer to a baking tray and bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 20 minutes.
Cover the baked scone with a kitchen towel to soften it.

When it cools down, transfer it to a serving plate and cut it.
