Procedure:
1) Add sugar and yeast to lukewarm milk. Stir with a whisk to dissolve and activate the yeast.
Add oil, salt, vanilla sugar and finally eggs. Continue beating with a whisk until all ingredients are combined.
2) Sift 600g of flour into the dough in two batches. Knead with your hands until the dough stops sticking to your hands.
Coat the bowl in which the dough will rise with oil. Put the dough in a bowl, cover it and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
3) After 1 hour, the dough filled the bowl. Transfer the dough to the mixing surface and shape it into a ball.
4) Roll the dough into a square shape with a rolling pin.
Spread it with butter and then arrange the dried fruit and chopped hazelnuts. We roll it into a roller, and 15 cm near the end we cut strips about 1.5 cm wide. We twist each strip around its axis a couple of times. We roll the dough to the end and join it in a circle.
5) Transfer to a 26cm diameter baking pan lined with baking paper.
Let’s leave it for 30 minutes for the cake to rise again. Coat it with beaten egg yolk.
6) Bake our holiday bread at 180°C (356°F) for about 40 minutes.
If necessary, at the end of baking, cover the baking paper with paper to prevent it from burning.
Cool and serve or wrap in parchment paper and foil and leave until the holidays. He can stand curled up like that for days
Good appetite ‼️
