Ingredients for the dough:
– 220 ml of milk
– 50g of sugar
– 10g of dry yeast
– 80ml of oil
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1 vanilla sugar
– 2 eggs
– About 600g of flour

For charging
– 100g butter for coating
– 5-6 spoons of brown sugar
– 100g of raisins
– 100g of candied cranberries
– 200g of dried apricots
– 200g of hazelnuts

– 1 egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of milk for coating

Procedure:
1) Add sugar and yeast to lukewarm milk. Stir with a whisk to dissolve and activate the yeast.
Add oil, salt, vanilla sugar and finally eggs. Continue beating with a whisk until all ingredients are combined.

2) Sift 600g of flour into the dough in two batches. Knead with your hands until the dough stops sticking to your hands.
Coat the bowl in which the dough will rise with oil. Put the dough in a bowl, cover it and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

3) After 1 hour, the dough filled the bowl. Transfer the dough to the mixing board and divide it into two parts. Cover and let rise once more. This time 20 minutes is enough.

4) Roll out the first part of the dough into a square shape with a rolling pin.
Spread it with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar. Then we arrange dried fruits and chopped hazelnuts. I put raisins, cranberries, dried apricots. You according to your taste and choice. Whatever you add, you won’t go wrong.
We roll the dough into a roller and connect the edges of the dough.
Let’s put the loaf aside.

5) Repeat the whole procedure with the other part of the test.
Before rolling the dough, put the first loaf at the beginning and roll everything together into one big loaf.

6) Cut the loaf with a sharp knife in the middle, one 3 cm from the beginning. We twist in a circle like a big snail.
Transfer to a 26cm diameter baking pan lined with baking paper.
Let’s leave it for 30 minutes for the cake to rise again. Coat it with beaten egg yolk.

7) Bake our holiday bread at 180°C (356°F) for about 40 minutes.
If necessary, at the end of baking, cover the baking paper with paper to prevent it from burning.

Cool and serve.
