Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Easy Chicken Pot Pie. Favorite chicken pie with puff pastry, quick, easy and delicious. Crisp dough on the outside and delicious filling on the inside – a perfect combination.

Components :
– 1 large head of red onion
– 1 cube (30g) of butter
– 2 carrots
– 1 red pepper
– 400g of champignons
– 200g of sweet corn
– 200g of peas
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1 teaspoon of granulated garlic
– 1 teaspoon of dried allspice
– 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
– pepper to taste
– 3 spoons of flour
– 400ml of chicken broth
– 400g of boiled chicken
– 2 packages of 250g puff pastry
– 1 egg for coating

Stew the onion in butter until it turns golden-yellow. Add the diced carrot and pepper and fry for 7-8 minutes.
Wash and chop the champignons and add them to the rest of the vegetables. Cook until the mushrooms release their water.

Now add sweet corn and peas, canned or frozen. I added the frozen ones and therefore cooked for another 10 minutes.

After that, we add spices, and immediately after that, flour. Pour in the chicken broth and stir until everything is combined. At the end, we add boiled chicken and our filling is ready. All in all, about 20 minutes of cooking.
Cover the baking mold with puff pastry (I don’t grease it because the puff pastry is greasy and I have no problems removing it). I used a round mold with a diameter of 23 cm. We pour the prepared filling and smooth it out.
This time I covered the pie with strips of puff pastry. I cut 8 strips 3 cm wide and crossed them over the pie.

At the end, I coated the pie with beaten egg and baked it at 180°C for about 30 minutes. If your oven does not have a fan, then bake at 200°C.

Very simple preparation and supreme enjoyment in every bite of this delicacy.
