Recipe:

Dough:
– 125g of butter
– 1 spoonful of sour cream
– 1 vanilla sugar
– 100g of sugar
– 1 egg
– A pinch of salt
– 1 baking powder
– 250g of flour

Phil:
– 2 eggs
– A pinch of salt
– 150g of sugar
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavoring
– 40g of corn starch
– 500g of sour cream
– 300g of frozen cherries or cherries from compote

And more:
Powdered sugar for decoration

Procedure:
1) Mix butter, sour cream, vanilla sugar and sugar for the dough.
Beat with a mixer until the mixture becomes foamy.
Add the egg and continue to beat.
Mix baking powder with flour and sift into the dough.
Mix with a mixer, and then with your hand until the dough stops sticking to your hands. Wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the fridge.
2) After an hour, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 0.5 cm.
Let’s move the dough into a mold with a diameter of 24 cm. Place the dough, and press the edges against the wall of the mold. Prick the dough with a fork and put it in the fridge while you make the filling
3) Take the eggs and separate the whites from the yolks. Add a pinch of salt and beat the egg whites until they become stiff snow.
Add sugar and vanilla flavoring and continue beating until the sugar melts. Add the egg yolks, one at a time. At the end, we add cornstarch and sour cream. Stir until all ingredients are combined.
4) Transfer the filling to the dough and flatten. Add cherries from above.
We grate the remaining dough from above. Since I had a little more dough left, I decided to additionally decorate the pie with a braid that I placed along the edge of the mold
5) Bake the pie at 180°C (356°F) for about 40 minutes
Cool the baked pie completely before serving. If desired, decorate the powder with sugar
