Ingredients for the dough:
300g of flour
1 baking powder
150g of butter
A pinch of salt
2 egg yolks
100g of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
100 ml of lemon juice or cold water
Ingredients for the filling:
4 egg whites
100g of sugar
1 vanilla sugar
200g of walnuts
4 tablespoons of apricot jam
Powdered sugar for decoration

Procedure:
1) First we make the short dough.
Sift flour into a bowl to which we have added baking powder. Add sugar, a pinch of salt and butter. Knead with your hands to mix all the ingredients.
Add 2 egg yolks, vanilla flavoring and a little cold water or lemon juice. Knead until you get a smooth dough that does not stick to your hands.
2) Divide the dough into two equal parts, wrap in transparent foil and leave in the fridge for 1 hour
3) Grease a 22cm baking dish with butter. Grate one part of the dough on a coarse grater. We distribute it all over the model and align it. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 10 minutes
4) Beat the egg whites with a mixer until foamy. Add sugar and vanilla sugar and continue beating until the sugar melts.
Add ground walnuts and apricot jam and mix gently so that the egg whites do not fall out.
5) We put the filling of egg whites and walnuts on the slightly baked and cooled dough
6) Grate the second part of the dough over the filling. Spread it carefully, preferably with your hands
7) Our pie is ready for the oven.
Bake it at 180°C (356°F) for about 30 minutes
Decorate the cooled pie with powdered sugar, cut it and serve it with a cup of coffee or tea
